大西みつぐ＆ジョン・サイパル　下町フォトウォーク

イベント詳細 John&Ohnishi Photo Walk
2人展を記念してジョン・サイパルと大西みつぐによる「 PhotoWalk」を実施します。何年か前に「ふげん社」の企画で実施した「目黒」以来。今回はこれまであまり他の「カメラ散歩」には登場してこなかったあたりを入念に歩きます。折からの大相撲五月場所初日の「両国」がスタート地点。「関東大震災」の記憶を確かめつつ周辺から歩きはじめます。さらに隅田川を渡り、柳橋、浅草橋と渋い町を歩き、ギャラリーのある静かな小伝馬町へ。町が経てきた時間、ジョン・サイパルの目線と大西みつぐの記憶の重なり、スナップショットと身体など、みなさんとご一緒に歩きながらゆっくり体験していただきたいと思います。
To commemorate the two-person exhibition, we will hold a “PhotoWalk” led by John Sypal and Mitsugu Onishi. This follows the walk in Meguro, organized some years ago by Fugensha.
This time, we will carefully explore areas that have not often been featured in other “camera walks.” The starting point is Ryogoku, on the opening day of the Grand Sumo Tournament in May. We will begin by walking through the area while reflecting on the memory of the Great Kanto Earthquake.
We will then cross the Sumida River and continue through the atmospheric neighborhoods of Yanagibashi and Asakusabashi, before heading toward the quiet district of Kodemmacho, where the gallery is located.
